On it being his senior year:
Oh man, absolutely it's gone fast. Time flies when it's fun. Especially when you didn't redshirt. No fifth year.
On seeing the changes this fall:
First of all, we talk about Bruin Revolution. So we're just making progress and we're out here working hard every day and making more progress. Guys are out here working and guys are motivated, so we're just out here trying to be a part of the Bruin Revoluition.
On if the linebackers are loaded:
Humbly, I like to think we are pretty good at linebacker. First of all, we're all really close friends so we're lining up with our brothers. It's nice to know you have your buddies. On top of that, they are talented and they are experienced. Anthony Barr didn't redshirt also, EK redshirted, but right after, freshman year, sophomore year and this year, his junior year, they definitely all have experience and it feels good to know that.
On maturing off the field:
We're out here, every time it's a business. Trying to focus as much as possible. Off the field, we try to get in the meeting room as much as possible and do as much extra stuff as possible.
On being slowed in San Bernardino:
It was just dehydration, cramping and stuff like that.
On Mora talking about his body:
My little brother has less body fat than I do. That's just a testament to my parents. Good genes.
On realistic goals for the linebackers:
We just want to win as many games as possible. We're working our butts off with the goal in mind is to win, individually and collectively. We just want to work so we can win.
On the scheme in year two:
It's much better and you can see it too with the older guys, they know the defense real well, with all the young guys that are inexperienced, having that experience, we can teach them and help them out a lot, and you can see that.
On mixing and matching:
We have so many talented guys that we need to get on the field. So you can see a lot of mixing and matching and numerous packages that are designed to get the talent on the field.
