UCLA Commit Watches Bruins

Corona (Calif.) Santiago safety Ron Robinson (6-2, 197) committed to UCLA back in July, so the season will allow Robinson time to just focus on the Sharks.

But on Saturday, Robinson did get a chance to see his future school, when he was at the Rose Bowl for the Bruins' win over Nevada.

"It was great," said Robinson. "Man, I'm really excited about everything I saw. I'm definitely getting excited to play for them."

Robinson got a chance to step into the locker room following the game to talk to the coaches.

"I got to go in and talked to Coach Meat (Demetrice Martin) and Coach (Jim) Mora, too," said Robinson. "The coaches really impressed me. I'm really high on them."

Robinson said the more he realizes his commitment to the Bruins, and the more he sees from them, the more ready he is to be a Bruin.

"It was fun," said Robinson. "I definitely see myself fitting in there perfectly."

Corona Santiago will take on Mission Viejo this weekend.
