Thousand Oaks High School quarterback Ben Olson poses with Long Beach Poly tight end and UCLA commit, Marcedes Lewis.
Olson spent the entire day at UCLA Monday, from 8:15 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. He watched both practices, sat in on a quarterback meeting with quarterback coach John Pearce and received a tour of the campus. He also had lunch with current Bruins Mike Seidman and Ryan Smith, two friends from the Conejo Valley. During practice, Olson seemed rather comfortable hanging with the quarterbacks, and in the afternoon practice session, wore a UCLA cap.
Olson and Lewis are joined by Long Beach Poly offensive line prospect, Winston Justice, who accompanied Lewis to practice Monday morning. Also accompanying them were fellow Poly players, quarterback Brandon Brooks, fullback Rory Carrington and junior DB/WR Freddie Parish. Parish's father attended UCLA and Parish was wearing a UCLA polo shirt. His father said it's his son's dream to attend UCLA. Parish was a good-sized prospect – 6-0 and 190 pounds. He said he'll be starting at cornerback for Poly this year.
Lewis and Justice will return to campus on Saturday for the scrimmage at Drake Stadium.
