Will Talamaivao still take official visits?

Corona (Calif.) Centennial lineman Viane Talamaivao talks about potential visits...

After missing almost his entire junior season, offensive lineman Viane Talamaivao showed why he's one of the nation's elite guard prospects Saturday night. The Alabama commit did what an elite H.S lineman should do, he dominated at the point of attack and physically manhandled a pretty good defensive line.

Physically, Talamaivao looks in better shape that we've seen him in over a year. He's moving very well, his lateral mobility was very strong and he showed great balance and the ability to get to the second level and clear out a linebacker or safety.

"I've lost a lot of weight since the end of the spring," Talamaivao said. "I'm not even sure how much but I feel great right now. I was 330 at The Opening and I'm way down from that and feel really good. I'm moving well and I thought our whole line did a great job tonight. St. Bonny is a good team and had our number, it feels good to finally beat those guys."

Talamaivao gave an early commitment last spring to Alabama and has hinted at different times that he could take a few official visits. For the first time, the lineman shut the door on that possibility.

"I'm not looking at anyone else, I'm 100% committed to Bama," Talamaivao said. "I'm still hearing from a few other schools, mainly USC and UCLA but I'm solid with Bama. I'm not planning to take any other visits except when I visit there and that will be it for me. I'm shutting it down and not looking at anyone else."
