Prospect Preview: Week Four

A look at the week four matchups featuring UCLA commits and targets throughout the country...

Game of the Week: Gardena Serra vs. Narbonne
Serra will take on two-time City Section champions Narbonne in a game that UCLA head coach Jim Mora is expected to attend.  Serra is stacked with elite prospect, eight with UCLA offers, including committed receiver Jordan Lasley, as well as five-star cornerback Adoree Jackson, four-star linebacker Dwight Williams, three-star safety Glenn Ihenacho, 2015 five-star linebacker John Houston, 2015 four-star defensive lineman Rasheem Green and 2015 four-star running back Malik Roberson (who is out for the year with an ACL injury) as well 2016 safety Brandon Burton.  And UCLA is also keeping an eye on rising senior linebacker Olajuwon Tucker.  Narbonne has quarterback Eban Jackson, who led Long Beach Poly to the CIF-SS Pac-5 title a year ago, linebacker Uchenna Nwosu and safety Khalil Rashad-Brown.

Corona Centennial vs. Carson
Centennial welcomes one of the City's top programs, which features receiver Donyeh Patterson, linebacker Manoah Pearson and lineman Bobby Johnson, all players with FBS offers.  Centennial has one of the most talented rosters in the West, with UCLA commit Barry Ware at receiver, Bruin target Viane Talamaivao on the offensive line, Cal commit but UCLA recruit Tre Watson at running back and plenty of other elite prospects.

El Cerrito vs. Dublin Valley Christian
El Cerrito is led by UCLA commit Adarius Pickett, who had two interceptions in the opener and scored three times a week ago and he's joined by teammate D.J. Calhoun, a USC commit who UCLA was recruiting heavily (and now Pickett is).

Corona Santiago vs. Upland
The Sharks will be led on defense by UCLA commit Ron Robinson and at quarterback, 2015 passer Blake Barnett, who camped with UCLA this summer and was at UCLA's opener against Nevada.  Upland has three Scout 300 prospects for 2015, safety Kameron Powell and Elijah Jones, who both camped with UCLA in the summer, and quarterback Tyler Hilinski.

Fresno Central vs. Tulare Union
UCLA has their sights set on five-star receiver Michiah Quick, who's come alive in the past two games.  Central defensive tackle Tashon Smallwoood has decommitted from USC, where he's been committed since February, and UCLA is still recruiting him, and he's openly expressed that the Bruins are in his top five though Arizona State and Cal appear to be in a better spot right now.

Compton Centennial vs. Compton Dominguez
With committed cornerback Denzel Fisher, the Apaches look to get their second win of the season when they face crosstown foe Dominguez, which boasts Uriah Leiataua, the younger brother of former UCLA lineman Shannon Tevaga and Sonny Tevaga and UCLA is watching him.

Carmel (Ind.) vs. Indianapolis (Ind.) North Central
Carmel features one of the best wide receivers in the state, senior Austin Roberts, who is committed to UCLA. Bruins offensive line coach Adrian Klemm is expected at the game to see Roberts.

Houston (Texas) Lamar vs. Houston (Texas) Westbury
One of UCLA's chief defensive back targets, John Plattenburg, and another target who's committed to Texas, John Bonney, will be playing under the watchful eye of UCLA secondary coach Demetrice Martin and will try to stay unbeaten on the season.

Coppell (Texas) vs. Allen (Texas)
At the $20 million stadium at Allen, UCLA defensive line coach Angus McClure and defensive coordinator Lou Spanos will be in attendance to see elite Scout Top 50 defensive end Solomon Thomas lead Coppell against Allen.

Bolivar (Mo.) vs. Marshfield (Mo.)
UCLA assistant coach Taylor Mazzone will be in attendance to see quarterback Rafe Peavey, who's committed to Missouri, lead unbeaten Bolivar.

Auburn (Ala.) vs. Gadsden City (Ala.)
UCLA commit Antreal Allen and teammate Rashaan Evans will face Gadsden City.  After the game, Evans will head West to visit UCLA officially this weekend.

Chandler (Ariz.) vs. Laveen (Ariz.) Cesar Chavez
UCLA commit Dionte Sykes and 2015 quarterback recruit Bryce Perkins take on Cesar Chavez and will try to snap a two-game losing streak.
