Broadus Reacts to Kiffin News

Diamond Bar (Calif.) receiver Cordell Broadus says that he thinks USC should have fired Lane Kiffin a long time ago...

Cordell Broadus is one of the elite recruits in the current junior class and rated the No. 67 player nationally in the 2015 Scout 100. He has double digit scholarship offers including one from his childhood favorite, USC.

"Honestly, I think they should have fired Kiffin a while ago," Broadus said. "I think with a new hire, USC is going to raise the bar now and this is going to energize the program. The new staff is going to be big for the program and I'm very anxious to see what they're going to look like.

"My top choice for them would be Coach Sark (Steve Sarkisian). I know he was offered the job before and turned it down but if he took the job, I would be going to USC for sure. He has turned Washington around and doing big things. When he got there, he didn't have any player, now that he has players, I see Washington doing big things."

Broadus said he's going to keep open to other schools and will definitely give both Washington and UCLA a hard look as well.

"With Sark at Washington, I'm looking at them hard," Broadus said. "I also really like UCLA a lot. They were the first school to offer me before my sophomore year and I love what Jim Mora is doing there. He's a great coach and has turned things around at UCLA for sure.

"Like I said though, I'm still open to everyone. I'm going to take my trips for sure and see some new places like LSU and Florida State. It's a fun time right now with our season going well and I'm looking forward to watching this USC coaching search play out and seeing who emerges as the top guy there."
