Brown Sets UCLA Visit

There isn't a hotter prospect out West right now than Los Angeles (Calif.) Loyola offensive lineman Chris Brown. With new scholarship offers coming in almost daily, the big tackle locked in his first four official visit dates...

Chris Brown emerged almost of nowhere this season to quickly become among the top five tackle prospects in the West region. He has a great frame, is very strong, moves well and knows how to finish off a play.

Brown plays tackle for the Cubs but could play just about anywhere on the offensive line in college. He has tackle athleticism and the strength and toughness to play guard as well. With offers flying in from all over, Brown has set up visit dates with four schools right now.

"I'm going to be busy in November," Brown said. "I have Texas A&M (Nov. 9), Oregon (Nov. 16), UCLA (Nov. 23) and USC (Nov. 30). I haven't decided on my last visit but I would like to take all five. It could be Washington but I'm still not sure yet.

"At this time, I really don't have a time frame for when I'll make my decision. Once I'm done with all my visits, I'll probably sit back with my family and try and figure it all out. Main thing for me will be playing time, the education I can get and the network opportunities after I'm done playing football.

"My relationship with the coaches and my position coach is important to me too but at the same time, I know that can change easily. I don't want to base too much of my decision on that when a new coach could come end up being the one I'm playing for."
