Evans Adds New School to Mix

Auburn (Ala.) linebacker Rashaan Evans has four SEC schools and UCLA among the final schools he'll consider...

Another SEC school was at one time a contender for Rashaan Evans and it seemed like he was focused only on four schools, but a fifth appears to be back in the race.

"Tennessee is a school I have been talking to recently and I want to give them one more look and one more chance," said Evans.

"Both my dad and myself have talked to Tennessee a couple of times and they still want me. Everything is the same with them... They like me a lot and they want me to give them a visit, so I am going to."

The visit will take place next weekend.

The No. 2 outside linebacker in the country has visited Knoxville once and he will return soon.

"I have been there before on an unofficial visit and I really liked the atmosphere up there a lot. I am going be back next weekend and it may be for an official visit. I have not figured that out yet. It will likely be an official visit though. That is what I am hoping for."

The Vols fell to No. 1-ranked Alabama Saturday and they will face another SEC foe next week in Auburn.

Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn was in Opelika, Ala. Friday night to see Evans play as was defensive coordinator Todd Grantham of Georgia.

Other than Tennessee being added back onto Evans' list, everything else remains the same for the Scout 100 senior out of Auburn, Ala.

"It is all going good and I do not have a leader or anything," said Evans. "I still like the same four schools [Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, and UCLA] right now with Tennessee back in this.

"I am likely going to make my decision in January and it is going to be tough. I will take some official visits after the season, then commit as soon as I am ready."

The 6-foot-3, 218 pound senior is the No. 41 prospect in the country on Scout.
