Nation's #1 WR to Visit UCLA

Right now Malachi Dupre is working towards another state title at John Curtis Christian, but once the season is over, official visits will begin. He knows four schools he will visit...

Malachi Dupre is the top wide receiver on Scout. Schools from coast to coast have offered the 6-foot-3, 195 pound five-star, but he has his list down to half a dozen schools and he knows four will definitely get an official visit.

"UCLA, Florida State, Ole Miss, and LSU are schools I know I will take official visits to," said Dupre. "I still have to decide on the last two."

He is thinking about two schools for that last visit right now. "It is Miami or USC for that last spot."

No dates have been set yet for any of his official visits. All of those will happen after the season. The season for River Ridge (La.) John Curtis Christian likely won't end until December.

That means the recruiting process will go well into 2014 for Dupre.

"I am planning to take all five official visits, then commit to a school on signing day," said Dupre.

He has attended games at LSU this season and he thought he would be in Tallahassee this past weekend for the FSU-Miami game, but he was unable to make it.

For now, it is all about the John Curtis Christian season and he talks to coaches when he can. All of the schools he is considering is pursuing him hard and he knows he has a big decision to make.

"I have taken a lot of unofficial visits, but the official visits will be important. I just need to see everything at all the different schools."

Dupre still says he does not have a leader at this time.
