UCLA Commit to Take Other Visits

Compton (Calif.) Centennial defensive back Denzel Fisher picked up another Pac 12 offer this week and has his first official visit set for next weekend.

Denzel Fisher is one of the region's top cover corners. He was the DB MVP of the SoCal NIKE Camp and has the size and toughness college coaches covet.

Fisher gave an early commitment to UCLA but offers continue to roll in for him. USC just offered a few weeks ago and another Pac 12 offer came in late this week.

"Oregon State offered Wednesday," Fisher said. "I've heard good things about the DB coach over there, Rod Perry. It's a good offer and I'm looking forward to meeting him in person. I haven't set a visit date yet but I want to get out there and check out the place. Hopefully I can do that soon here."

Fisher does have a pair of Pac 12 official visits set and will take No. 1 next weekend.

"I'm going to Utah next weekend," Fisher said. "I also have Washington State set up for (Nov. 23). I'm excited for both of these visits, I've never really been outside of California much so it should be a great opportunity to see some new schools and compare them with UCLA.

"I have a great relationship with Coach Martin at UCLA. After I first committed, he didn't want me to take any other visits. He's cool with it now though, he knows he can trust me and wants me to enjoy the experience of the visits and I definitely respect him for that. My commitment to UCLA is solid, I'll be at the game Saturday and I'm happy to be a Bruin but looking forward to these trips as well."
