Daniel Wants to Visit UCLA

Fresno (Calif.) Clovis North defensive tackle Jacob Daniel is hearing from a good portion of the Pac-12, and would potentially like to visit UCLA...

Jacob Daniel is a massive defensive tackle prospect and is currently rated the No. 35 player in the 2015 Scout 100. He's a space eater in the middle and a prototypical nose guard in a 3-4 scheme that will require a constant double team.

Daniel blew by the double digit offer mark months ago and said one school is on him harder than everyone else.

"Recruiting is going great right now," Daniel said. "I'm enjoying the process right now and excited to see where things go from here. Washington is the one school coming after me harder than anyone else.

"I have a great relationship with their coaches and especially DL coach, Tosh Lupoi. He's a great guy and a great coach as well. I took a visit to Washington over the summer and really liked it there. I definitely plan to go back again this spring or summer so I can check out the place again."

Daniel said he's hoping to visit a few other schools as well.

"I want to check out Oregon and UCLA for sure," Daniel said. "They're both great schools and I like what I've seen from them. I've been to California already and was at their season opener against Northwestern. They're probably recruiting me harder than anyone after Washington. They message me on facebook a lot and I like those coaches as well.

"Right now, I have no plans to make an early decision. I want to take my time and do a few official visits next year. After I see a few schools, then I'll be able to compare everyone and pick the best fit for me."
