VIDEO: Spanos on Defense

Defensive coordinator Lou Spanos talks about the adjustments the defense made after Keith Price went out and Cyler Miles came in...

Lou Spanos:

On his first reaction to the game:
We've got to watch the tape. Quick analysis- we did a good job of stopping the run. They had one long run, for 13 yards, the second series, then they tried to run the ball, run the ball, run the ball, and then we figured it out and the guys did a great job making the plays. We tried in the passing game, getting pressure and he hit a couple balls. But all around, it was good by all 11 players on defense. There is stuff to be corrected obviously, but just a quick overview.

On Myles Jack walking off:
I think coach addressed that.

On Cyler Miles:
He played throughout the season, they've had a lot of leads, so he's played 3rd quarter, 4th quarter, we saw him. He's a really good athlete and a really good arm. He's a really good player. I know we're going to play him in the years to come. He had nice composure and made some nice plays and threw some nice balls.

On if he had to make adjustments to Miles:
Well we had to see what they were doing. Once we saw what they were trying to do, we adjusted. It was a little chess match. But our defense responded. From the turnovers, our guys responded.
