Who's Coming Hardest at Young?

Four-star LB Kenny Young of John Curtis Christian named a top six not long ago, and today he followed up by discussing three schools that are putting in major work recruiting him. Go inside to hear from Young...

Kenny Young talked in detail about Texas A&M, Florida State and UCLA.

"A&M, they're recruiting me real hard," he said. "I'm giving them a chance. I talk with Coach (Kevin) Sumlin, defensive coordinator Mark Snyder, Coach (Mark) Hagen and Coach (Marcel) Yates.

"I'm going to officially visit Florida State and A&M for sure and almost certainly UCLA. They're starting to develop something special at UCLA. They have Myles Jack at linebacker and A.B., Anthony Barr, will be drafted."

Young says Barr's departure could give him an opportunity to see the field early if he picks the Bruins.

"That's something I look for," he said of early playing time. "UCLA is in their second year with their coaching staff, and I'm real cool with the linebackers coach (Jeff Ulbrich).

"I really do like Florida State. They and UCLA are the two schools that are recruiting Malachi Dupre, Mattrell McGraw and me. I like the style and attitude that Florida State plays with, and I talk with a bunch of their coaches - they're all cool and they want me real bad."

Charles Kelly and Randy Sanders are two members of the FSU staff who have made a distinct impression on Young, who has a chance to rest his legs this week with John Curtis having a first-round playoff bye.
