"It was real cool, I had a good time," Mixon said. "I got down there early enough to spend a lot of time with the coaches and that was a great experience. I met the whole staff but spent a lot of time with Deshaun Foster, one of the running back coaches and he's hekka cool.
"It was great getting to know Jim Mora as well, he's a funny guy and I like the way he carries himself. I've been talking with Adrian Klemm as well and he's real cool but I liked that whole staff. They broke it down for me in terms of the offense and how there's a big opportunity to get in there and play early. I liked the visit a lot and I'm definitely going to give UCLA a strong look."
With the five school he officially visited along with UCLA, all in the mix, Mixon said his next move is to cut his list of six down to four. Cal is still a local favorite for many in Mixon's inner circle and he has visited the Bears multiple times.
Of the official visits he took, Wisconsin is the one school he seemed to rave about a little more than the rest so there's a good chance those two will make the final cut. UCLA definitely boosted their stock over the weekend but after that, it's anyone's guess.
"Hopefully I can do that this week," Mixon said. "I don't have an exact date or anything, just whenever it feels right. I like all these schools and I'm still considering all of them. This will be my last cut and then I'll be ready to announce my decision at the Army All-American Game."
