Emesibe Has More Options

With eight offers and counting, defensive end Kennedy Emesibe has some thinking to do. The California prep star has picked up interest from around the county and it appears he will get to know more about each of the interested programs before making a decision about his college future...

"My latest offer is from UNLV and I have new interest from Mississippi State," said Kennedy Emesibe, the 6-3.5, 240-pound defensive end from Oak Hills (Calif.). "They told me that they want me to come and play for them, so I would like to consider that an offer.

"I am not going to assume anything yet, but I think I have an offer from them."

While most of his college offers are closer to the west coast, Emesibe reports that he has more than a passing interest in the Bulldogs of the SEC West.

"Mississippi State is an SEC school and all of the schools in the SEC are major schools," said Emesibe. "I know I want to take an official visit out there and see what it's like."

Eemesibe, recently took an unofficial visit to UCLA and has more excursions planned before signing day.

"I am going to see Arizona and Arizona State play this weekend," said Eemesibe. "I don't really have a leader right now.

"They are all up there and I want to take my visits before I make my decision.

"I know I am going to take my officials in January and then I will decide."

The three star standout holds offers from Arizona, Arizona State, California, Colorado State, San Diego State, UNLV, Washington State and Yale.

The chance to play early and to get a quality education are a huge part of his pre-signing day deliberations.

"I am open to all of the schools that are recruiting me right now," said Eemesibe. "I just want to find the right school where I can get a good education and have the chance to make an impact on the field.

"I am keeping everybody even for now."
