Game Scouted: Federal Way (Wash.) vs. Richland (Wash.)

Federal Way 2015 running back Chico McClatcher had another big night, with three touchdowns, just like the first time we saw him.

But this time, he added a touchdown pass on a trick play and a pair of interceptions, both part of the Eagles rally in the second half to move on to the state semifinals.

McClatcher still isn't a big guy, and in fact, despite his two picks, gave up a couple of big pass plays when the receiver, who he gave up six inches too, caught passes by out-jumping and out-heighting him. Still, McClatcher was tight in his coverage.

At running back, all three of his touchdowns came on options, where he stayed in his lane, took the pitch and darted up field to get into the end zone.

On his touchdown pass, he actually got a penalty for illegal procedure early in the game, when Federal Way was set to run it.

The next series, he cleanly went in motion, took the pitch, then threw the go-ahead touchdown pass.

The four-star is pretty electric with the ball in his hands and while his size isn't ideal, he just continues to make plays.
