VIDEO: Klemm on O-Line

Offensive line coach Adrian Klemm talks about the play of Ben Wysocki, who replaced the ejected Caleb Benenoch at right tackle...

Adrian Klemm:

On Caleb Benenoch's ejection:
I was pissed off at first. It's early in the game, and that's somebody we need. I just told Ben to go out there and not worry about mistakes and just play to the best of his abilities and if he makes mistakes, we coach up off it. He hasn't had the reps of the young guys, he hasn't had the chance to take reps, but he's been paying attention obviously and he went out there and did a great job. I'm really proud of him. We talked before the game about this being a defining moment in their football careers. For him, he'll always remember this day. The game he didn't expect to play in. But he prepared as if he was going to and I'm just really proud of him and feel good for him and his family. Comes from a good family and he's just a good kid.

On if the line's performance is a nice way to end an up and down season:
We've had our moments where we've done well, but people tend to focus on what we did wrong. I thought today was the day we put it all together. That first drive, we gave up a sack, and that made me a little nervous early on, but we stayed the course, got the jitters out and I thought they did a really good job. They played physical and that was the point of emphasis for the week. I said just stand up to them and impose our will. Our guys took it to hearts and that's why we had a successful night.

On if the tempo helped:
That helps, but that's the tempo we've had every single game. Everything came together. Some games, we have great quarterback play, and the offensive line struggles, and vice versa and today it was running back by committee, offensive linem played well and Bret put us on his back and it showed what we can do collectively when everyone is on their game.
