Mixon Down to Four

Oakley (Calif.) Freedom running back Joe Mixon has cut his list to four schools and still plans to make his decision at the Army All-American Game in January.

It has been a whirlwind recruitment for Joe Mixon but it's coming to an end shortly. The running back has made one final cut to his list and is now looking at four schools.

"My final four are, in no order, Wisconsin, California, Oklahoma and UCLA," Mixon said. "With Coach Sark at USC, I'll give them a look too if they come at me but right now, these are my four schools I'm going to focus on."

Mixon talked a little about the four schools and what stands out.

"I had a home visit with UCLA last night and it went great," Mixon said. "Almost the whole staff was in there including Coach Mora. I know there's talk he could leave but he told me he's staying so we'll see what happens.

"Cal is home, I've been there a number of times and I'm very comfortable with the school and staff and I like the location. I had great visits to Wisconsin and Oklahoma. Wisconsin is a power running team and I fit in really well there. Oklahoma has always been high on my list and I like the offense they run as well."

Cal, Wisconsin and Oklahoma will all be in for home visits later in the week.
