VIDEO: Hundley Talks Draft

Brett Hundley talks about his decision-making timeline and how he's approaching Sun Bowl preparation...

Brett Hundley:

On feedback from the NFL:
Not yet, I think it takes about a week or two. We'll get the evaluation, sit down. That will be a little part of it, there is so much to take into account, but we'll look at that.

On when he'll sit down with the coaches and discuss it:
I've talked with Mora, I've talked with Mazzone, I've talked with a couple of people. Throughout this whole process, I'll talk with Mora, some others, I'll talk to Jet (Johnathan Franklin). I'll talk to my family when I get back to Arizona.

On if those meetings will help in the process:
Yeah, there are a couple of people I know I'm going to really listen to and who have a lot of experience and knowledge and are part of my circle. At the end of the day, with all the information I get, I'll be able to make a decision after that.

On looking back at last year's bowl preparation:
I think this year we're a more mature team, even though we have a lot of freshman, one thing the leadership has done has really helped mature. We're coming a long way. This week and leading up to the game we have to dig deep in ourselves, and know this isn't a vacation, this is a business trip.

On if he's started to watch Virginia Tech film:
Yeah, I've started watching film recently. They're a good team and a good defense and they do some things well. They move around a lot and have a big front four and a great secondary. They play a lot of man coverage. We're going to be ready.

On the long leadup to the game:
That's the one thing you don't want to do, and one thing I have a problem with, is watching too much film, and coming up with this whole elaborate plan. As a quarterback, you're thinking about it. Me and Coach Mazzone will sit down and get everyone on the same page.

On what he remembers from the Holiday Bowl:
Cover zero. I saw that a lot. That's what stands out. It was a big learning process for us. We'll be ready next time. That's what caught us off guard. It was the first time for a lot of us. Baylor played a heck of a game, they're a great team, we learned a lot and now we move forward.

On Asiantii Woulard:
He's going to be really good. He's still a young quarterback right now, and a lot to develop, like a lot of us, but at the end of the day, he's going to be a really good quarterback at UCLA.

On Woulard's development compared to his own at the same stage:
It's hard to tell. The new coaches weren't here, so I was learning the offense. He does good things, a lot of good things. I try to work with him a lot. He's like a little bro. He has a lot to work on, but even me in my redshirt year, I had a lot to work on.

On how much he's watched the Holiday Bowl:
I don't think I ever sat down and watched it. I took a break for maybe a month and I would go through each game and I would write notes on them. And then came into this season working.
