Jaleel Wadood (5'10/175) isn't the biggest player on the field for St. John Bosco, he's simply the best. I named him the CIF-SS Player of the Year on FOX Sports West over guys such as Adoree Jackson, Juju Smith, and Tre Watson, because of his knack to make big plays when they're needed most in all aspects of the game.

Wadood influences the game on offense, defense, and special teams.

Against Corona Centennial on Saturday Wadood spent the first half introducing himself to the Husky skill players with big hits and tremendous closing speed. With the game tied 21-21 at halftime, Wadood had a big kickoff return, and he caught a touchdown pass two plays later, and the game was never in doubt after that.

Wadood and St. John Bosco will take on De La Salle next week in California's Open Bowl which attempts to match SoCal's No. 1 team against NorCal's No. 1 team (and they succeeded). Both teams are ranked in the Top 10 in the Scout Top 50.

Wadood committed to UCLA last week, and here is a look at him in action in his first game as a Bruin commit.
