The 6-foot-9, 310-pound mammoth was verbally committed to Purdue, but de-committed in mid-December, wanting to check out other options. He has already took an official visit to South Florida on Dec. 13, and has four other schools hoping to get him on campus in January to persuade the Windy City offensive lineman to wear their school colors for.
"I think my Syracuse visit will be moved to the 17th and my UCLA visit is probably going to be the 31st," Ward said. "My Nebraska visit is still up for grabs, so I don't know for sure. It's between them and Arizona State. It will be on the weekend of the 24th. It will probably be one of the two."
Even though the contact between Ward and the college coaches has been limited due to the recruiting dead period that went into effect on Dec. 16th, two schools are currently sticking out for the offensive lineman.
"South Florida and Syracuse are my top two at the time," Ward said. "They're both neck-and-neck and after them it would be UCLA. Then after them, it would be Arizona State and Nebraska."
UCLA recently got on Ward after the Bruins had shown early interest but hadn't offered.
