Junior left guard Xavier Su'a-Filo, who started each of his three years at UCLA, will leave for the NFL, he announced Saturday on his Instagram.
Su'a-Filo started much of the year at left tackle due to injuries to Simon Goines, Torian White, and Connor McDermott. Su'a-Filo was long thought to be an early entry candidate due to his talent as well as his age--due to a Mormon mission, Su'a-Filo is the age of an average redshirt senior, turning 23 this month.
Su'a-Filo posted a picture of himself being carried off the field after his last practice at Spaulding Field with the caption: "You probably suspected it but I have decided to forego my senior year & make myself available for the 2014 NFL Draft."
