"When Stanford offered, that was big for me," Leiataua said. "Even my mom got really excited about that one. The thing with Stanford though is even though they can offer, you still have to clear their admissions and that's really tough. Well over the weekend I got the call that I was cleared and good to go and I was so excited.
"I was really worried about that because I didn't know if I was in or not and knew it would be close. Now that I've been approved, I can relax and make a well thought out decision without wondering what schools I can put on my list. I'm still in no hurry to decide, there's a lot to think about and I'm still totally up in the air right now."
Leiataua has an official visit to UCLA scheduled for this weekend but might now be able to make it.
"I'm not sure because my birthday is this weekend and we might be doing something special as a family," Leiataua said. "The following weekend is booked up as well because one of my cousins is coming home from her mission (LDS) from the Philippines.
"I'm definitely going to take my visit to BYU (Jan. 31) at the end of the month. That visit is for sure but everything else is up in the air right now. There's always a chance I could commit before then and still visit but I'm really confused about what to do right now and I don't want to do anything until I'm 100% sure. Right now, that's not the case so I'm just going to play it out and go from here."
