Justin Simon, a very promising 2015 point guard prospect from Temecula, gives us his reaction to receiving an offer from UCLA...
, 6-4 JR PG Temecula (Calif.) Temecula Valley, is one of the elite point guard prospects in the West Coast class of 2015. A long, rangy athlete with very good instincts, Simon has a versatile game and the potential to defend either guard spot at the next level.
I spoke with Simon recently and asked the schools that are expressing interest in him.
"UCLA, Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, UConn, New Mexico, San Diego State, Oregon, Washington, a little bit from Louisville and some others," said Simon.
When asked which schools have offered, Simon replied, "pretty much all of them except for Kansas, UConn and Louisville."
I asked Simon if any schools stand out for him at the moment.
"No, I really like everybody right now," said Simon. "I'm trying to watch all the schools on TV and see how they play."
Simon recently received an offer from UCLA.

"I spoke with Coach Alford and it was big for me as a local kid," said Simon. "I grew up in Inglewood and it's always big as a hometown kid to get an offer from the big school in the area. It's a great university, both athletically and academically."
Simon said he's hoping to narrow his list down somewhat in the near future.
"Probably in February I will sit down and cut it to maybe ten schools," said Simon.
Simon has already taken numerous unofficial visits.
"I've been to San Diego State, USC, UCLA, Santa Clara, UC Irvine, Arizona State, Arizona and New Mexico," said Simon.
I asked if he has any plans for official visits.
"I have to take the ACT or SAT first," said Simon. "When I start to narrow down my list, I'll look at official visits."
Simon said he's doesn't have a time frame for making his decision.
