Could Miller Decide Soon?

Roseville (Calif.) offensive tackle Kolton Miller is one of the top prospects in the West at his position, and could make a quick decision soon after his UCLA visit this weekend...

Kolton Miller is one of the top tackle prospects in the west this year. He's all of 6-8, 305 pounds but for a lineman that tall, he has very good lateral mobility, doesn't play too high and can get low and is a solid run blocker.

The danger in a lot of tackles over 6-6 is it's tough for them to move well laterally and play with leverage but Miller plays like someone who used to be a tight end but kept growing and was eventually moved to tackle. He plays with low pad level, can get out of his stance and plays with an advanced technique for a H.S lineman.

On the recruiting front, Miller has already visited Oregon State and Wisconsin and will check out UCLA this weekend.

"A lot of schools are still trying to get Kolton to take a visit on the 24th," Dan Miller, Kolton's father said. "Oregon is coming over for a home visit Thursday night with Coach Helfrich plus the OC and OL coach. They offered a couple of weeks ago and are hoping he'll visit next weekend.

"Oregon State will be coming over Thursday as well and Klemm and Angus at UCLA will be here as well. Arizona, Arizona State and California are pushing hard for a visit on that weekend of the 24th as well but it's still up in the air, we haven't decided if he'll visit anywhere yet, I would say there's a 25% chance he will but nothing is decided yet.

Miller said there's a good chance Kolton will have a decision made by the 27th. If the lineman doesn't take a visit on the weekend of the 24th, it's probably fair to assume a decision could come even earlier than that.
