Quarterback Commits to UCLA

On Monday, UCLA secured its quarterback commitment for the 2014 class...

Three-star Houston (Tex.) Summer Creek quarterback Aaron Sharp has committed to UCLA, according to sources.

Sharp was previously committed to Kansas State, but visited UCLA this past weekend and reportedly enjoyed the visit enough to make the pledge to UCLA coaches Monday night during an in-home visit with Jim Mora.

"Coach Mora and Coach Taylor Mazzone, they came over tonight and I felt really good with them," Sharp said. "We were just talking about UCLA and our plans for the future, and I just felt so good about everything and the official visit this past weekend that I decided to become a UCLA Bruin."

Sharp (6'3, 190) is a reported speedster with a developing throwing motion. The expectation is that he should come in, develop a year, and then join the competition for UCLA's open quarterback spot in 2015 with Asiantii Woulard and whichever quarterback UCLA signs in 2015.

We'll have more to come from Sharp shortly.
