Lasley Now Solid to UCLA

Gardena (Calif.) Serra receiver Jordan Lasley enjoyed his visit to UCLA this past weekend and said afterward that he's done taking visits...

Jordan Lasley picked up an offer from UCLA at their summer camp and committed just a few days later. His plan was to visit USC, who also offered in the summer, and UCLA back to back weekends with the visit to Westwood originally set for (Jan. 24).

"I haven't heard much from USC since the coaching change," Lasley said. "I was going to visit there on the 17th but when I didn't hear from them, I decided to move my visit to UCLA up a week. I had an incredible time, it was a perfect trip and I loved everything about it.

"I didn't sleep much but that was a good thing, we had a great time. We're going to do big things and I'm excited to be a part of that. Hanging out with the players on the team, Jordan Payton was my host, and trying on the jerseys was my favorite part of the visit. Westwood is an incredible place and like I said, we all had a great time."

Lasley said spending quality time with the coaching staff was another big plus.

"I love Coach Mora and I talked a lot with Yarbs (WR coach Eric Yarber)," Lasley said. "He's one of the best receiver coaches around and has a ton of NFL experience. I even got to talk to some former players that he coached and everyone raves about him so I'm excited to play for him.

"I've been to UCLA before but the visit was cool because I learned so much about the school and especially the academics. I got to meet more of the players on the team and it's a great group of guys. I'm totally shutting things down from here on and I won't be taking any more official visits.

"It's time for me to put in the work and I'm motivated to go out and show I should have been a four-star receiver. I have big goals for myself, I want to be a freshman All-American and prove myself all over again. There is so much more to my game that I haven't showed yet so I can't wait for college, I'm going in with a chip on my shoulder and ready to work."
