Preview: This Weekend's Visits

UCLA will have four visitors this weekend, two 2014 commits, one remaining 2014 target, and a big-time 2015 prospect...

It's the weekend before the big weekend, so UCLA will have a smaller group of visitors this weekend, but it includes a big out-of-state target in Baker and a big 2015 prospect and unofficial visitor in Rosen.

And of course, there could be an unofficial visitor or two from the already committed ranks, like Jaleel Wadood.

Here is a look at who's visiting this weekend:

Matt Dickerson.
San Mateo (Calif.) Serra defensive end Matt Dickerson

UCLA was one of the first offers for Dickerson, who emerged in the spring when coaches got a chance to see him.  Dickerson, though, committed to Notre Dame in August and it seemed like he was a done deal.  But Angus McClure, as he's been known to do, didn't give up and kept up with Dickerson during the fall.  UCLA was doing its best to flip Dickerson from the Irish and the four-star eventually did flip his verbal to the Bruins just a couple of days after Tuioti-Mariner committed.  Dickerson took two unofficial visits to UCLA during the spring, including one for the spring game, where he got to meet Datone Jones, just days after Jones was drafted in the first round by the Green Bay Packers.

Budda Baker.
Bellevue (Wash.) safety Budda Baker

The big fish of the weekend and the lone uncommitted prospect, Baker was, like Dickerson, a commit elsewhere, pledging to Oregon last month just before Christmas.  But last week, Baker surprisingly decommitted from the Ducks and eliminated them from consideration entirely.  He then visited Washington officially over the weekend and followed up with an in-home visit with Jim Mora, Demetrice Martin, Noel Mazzone and Taylor Mazzone on Monday.  Baker said it was a great visit with the UCLA coaches and he'll be tripping to Westwood this weekend.  He took an unofficial visit back in December, coming the morning after the state championship, to spend the weekend with his good friend and former teammate Myles Jack and catch one of UCLA's bowl practices.  Baker said he will decide on Signing Day between the hometown Huskies and UCLA.

Josh Rosen.

2015 Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco quarterback Josh Rosen

Rosen is UCLA's number one quarterback option in the 2015 class and will be coming in on Sunday for an unofficial visit. There was some thought that Rosen might even commit to UCLA this weekend, which could give the Bruins a jump start on 2015 recruiting. Rosen, in fact, got in contact with 2014 UCLA targets Malachi Dupre, Joe Mixon, and Bryce Dixon earlier this week on Twitter, likely to pitch them on the idea of joining him in Westwood. It'll be very interesting to see if the Bruins come out of the weekend with a commitment from Rosen.
