"It feels great," said the 6-foot-3, 234-pound Lewis, who chose the Bruins over Florida and Tennessee. "It was a tough decision. All of my top schools were top-notch programs. Now, I can focus on making good grades."
According to Lewis, his visit to UCLA last weekend helped seal the deal.
"The visit played a big role," he said. "I needed to visit. The campus and the internships they have stuck out to me."
His relationship with the Bruins' coaching staff was also important.
"Coach Jim Mora is a great guy and a great coach," he said. "He really reminds me of my high school coach. Also, (running backs) Coach (Kennedy) Polamalu, he's coached a lot of great players and he's a great coach."
Lewis is looking forward to getting on the field early in his college career.
"I want to contribute right away," he said. "No question."
Do not expect him to change his mind.
"My commitment is very firm," Lewis said. "I'm blessed to be a Bruin."
Lewis is currently ranked the #22 wide receiver in the nation, and ranked No. 178 in the Scout 300.
