Lucier-South Recaps UCLA Visit

Orange Lutheran (Calif.) defensive end Keisean Lucier-South took an unofficial visit to UCLA on Saturday and said he enjoyed his time in Westwood...

Keisean Lucier-South is an early 2015 five-star selection and ranked the No. 18 player in the country. He plays defensive end for the Lancers but could end up an outside linebacker, depending on the scheme in college. He's a natural pass rusher with a great frame and can really close on the ball.

Lucier-South camped with UCLA last summer but the Saturday visit was his first time walking around the campus.

"I was up there for a couple of hours and had a really good time," Lucier-South said. "I really enjoyed meeting the coaches and touring the campus and football facilities. I have a great relationship with the coaching staff already so there's a nice comfort level already.

"I spent a lot of time with Coach Mora and Coach Ulbrich and really like those guys a lot. My main recruiter is Taylor Mazzone and he's a great guy too. We went over how I would fit in with their defense and they want to use me the same way they used Anthony Barr. They see my size and ability to rush the passer being similar to Barr so that's pretty exciting to hear."

Although it appears UCLA is doing pretty well with Lucier-South right now, he's in no hurry to make an early decision.

"The coaches didn't even talk to me about committing, it's too early for me to do anything right now," Lucier-South said. "I still want to take a few more trips and visit some more schools but I don't have anything set up right now.

"There are a few schools like USC and Michigan that I'm interested in seeing but like I said, right now, I don't have any set plans. I do want to take my official visits before committing anywhere. I'm not in any hurry to commit right now, I want to wait things out and then I'll make the best decision for me."
