Alston Plans to Camp at UCLA

2015 three-star Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure wide receiver Lavan Alston wants to camp at UCLA and USC in hopes of earning offers from the L.A.-area schools...

Lavan Alston is a speed receiver who can stretch the field and is also a dangerous return man. He has home run speed and clocked a 10.74-100m as a sophomore last year.

He's a smooth route runner and shows good hands to go along with his game breaking ability. His recruitment is starting to take off and just landed his 5th scholarship offer over the weekend.

"Arizona State offered me on Friday and I'm very interested," Alston said. "I also have Washington State, Vanderbilt, California and Oregon State. I need to talk with my parents about it but I want to try and take some unofficial visits to all four of those Pac 12 schools that have offered.

"I also plan to camp with USC and UCLA since they're so local but right now, my main focus is on getting ready for the NIKE Camp and I'm also playing with B2G this spring and summer. I've been training hard and I'm looking forward to showing what I can do this summer."

Alston said he's open to all schools right now and isn't close to coming out with a short list.

"I'm just enjoying the process," Alston said. "I want to wait and see what schools are interested and see what offers I have by the end of the summer. Then I'll be ready to narrow things down a little and think about official visits."
