Malik Lovette is one of the most explosive playmakers out West with the ability to play multiple positions at the next level. He's rated among the receivers by Scout.com and the No. 210 player in the country and that rating will likely move up in a big way during the spring/summer evaluation period.
On the recruiting front, Lovette landed his latest offer from one of the nation's true heavyweight programs.
"I picked up an offer from Notre Dame today," Lovette said. "It's a great feeling to have this offer from Notre Dame and to know they believe in me. Notre Dame has an incredible tradition and not just me but my family and coaches are all honored to receive this one.
"I talked with Coach Elliot and he gave me the good news. I'm going to try to get out there for an unofficial visit this spring but if not, I'm definitely going to take an official visit in the fall. I haven't decided on my visit schedule yet but I know Notre Dame will get one for sure."
Lovette has a few other schools in mind for unofficial visits, although he hasn't locked in any dates just yet.
"I'm going to visit USC and UCLA and I'm hoping to make it to California as well," Lovette said. "I wasn't able to make it to USC for their Junior Day so I want to check them out for sure and UCLA has been recruiting me hard and I want to get up there since both schools are local.
"I don't have any leaders right now and don't plan to make an early decision. I want to take all five of my official visits and then sit down with my family and coaches and evaluate each school. At that point, I'll make a decision. I don't want to wait until Signing Day but I'm not going to rush anything either."
Lovette Still Wide Open
