2015 Gardena (Calif.) Serra linebacker John Houston participated at the Los Angeles (Calif.) Nike Football Training Camp over the weekend.

Houston, a five-star recruit, did not earn MVP for his position but did once again show why he is such a sought after recruit.

Houston, 6-foot-3 210-pounds, told Scout he currently holds "16 or 17" offers -- the latest from Alabama and Oregon.

Former USC coach turned Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin offered Houston for the Crimson Tide.

A Southern California native, Houston says UCLA and USC are recruiting him the hardest. As for those rumors he is leaning toward the Trojans? Houston admits his family are Trojan fans, but insists he remains neutral in his recruitment.

In fact, he says he is close with Bruins coaches Jim Mora, Adrian Klemm and Jeff Ulbrich.

At USC, Houston likes the new Trojan staff and wants to see if they can get the program "back to what USC was". He is being recruited by linebackers coach Peter Sirmon.
