From Greg Biggins:

Cordell Broadus transferred from Diamond Bar (Calif.) to Gorman a few months back but was in SoCal over the weekend to take part in the NIKE Camp. He was among the top receivers at the camp and also made our list of the top 10 offensive performers following the event.

Broadus looks like he has grown since last season and checked in at 6-3, 180 pounds. He has very good hands, a wide catch radius and made a few one handed catches, that were difficult balls to catch, look like just a walk in the park.

He's definitely getting better and is still growing in to his body. He doesn't have great down field speed, but isn't slow either. He knows how to create separation from a defensive back, has very good body control and as he fills out his frame, should develop in to a solid player at the next level.

On the recruiting front, Broadus said he plans to take all five of his official visits and wants to wait until Signing Day before he commits anywhere.

"I know four of my five visits already," Broadus said. "I haven't set any dates yet but I want to check out Florida State, Miami, LSU and Notre Dame," Broadus said. "I'm just going to take it easy this summer and don't have anything planned and don't plan to do any 7 on 7. I'm just going work on my game at Gorman and try and get better.

"I might go and visit UCLA and USC this summer but that's it. UCLA is on me real hard right now and I talk to Coach Martin all the time. I'm not hearing as much from USC so I need to check in there and see what's up. Right now, I'm open to everyone and want to wait until Signing Day to make my decision."
