Robertson Says Two Recruiting Hardest

Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco offensive lineman Zach Robertson showed up at the NIKE Camp Sunday a little gimpy and didn't really get to show what he can do...

Zach Robertson is one of the state's top lineman and was a key reason the Braves rolled to an undefeated season last year. He played both right and left tackle but will move inside and play guard at the next level.

"I pulled my hamstring recently and I'm about 75% right now," Robertson said. "I want to make it to The Opening so I came out and tried to give it a go in the one on ones but I really couldn't move that well so I had to shut it down."

On the recruiting front, Robertson is up to eight offers and mentioned two schools are currently recruiting him the hardest.

"Arkansas, Washington and Arizona State are my most recent offers," Robertson said. "UCLA and Arkansas are recruiting me the hardest right now and I'll be visiting UCLA for their Junior Day next Saturday. I've been to UCLA before but never really toured the campus or sat down with the coaches.

"I went to USC for their Junior Day before Signing Day and I liked it a lot there. I got to tour around the school and see the new facilities, which were really impressive. I like the new coaching staff a lot and I got along great with everyone. The only drawback is they just signed five lineman and the depth chart looks a little crowded so I need to really look in to that."

Robertson said he has no plans to make an early decision right now.

"I don't want to wait until Signing Day but I do want to take my official visits first," Robertson said. "This summer, I want to visit Washington and I for sure want to take an official visit to Notre Dame and Arkansas as well. If I can't get out to Washington during the summer, I'll take an official visit there too.

"Right now, I'm honestly open to everyone. I want to go through the process more and see what new schools come after me. It would be nice to stay close to home but that won't be a deal breaker for me or anything. I'm just looking for the most comfortable fit, a place where I can play early and where I like the coaches and players on the team."
