VIDEO: Adams on Tulsa Win

Jordan Adams talks about his aggression on the backboards and how cool it was to get a win in his first NCAA Tournament game...

Jordan Adams:

On his role in the win:
Coach told me to stay aggressive. They're a great defensive team, so I had to keep cutting and move without the ball.

On his rebounding:
When I saw them on film, their guys were smaller than me so I wanted to take advantage of that and crash the boards hard.

On playing in his first tournament game:
It's fun. It's my welcome to the NCAA. I've been watching games all day and it was fun to be a part of it.

On being injured last year for the tournament:
It was brutal, especially when our team lost, because I wasn't playing. But I'm here now, this is a different coaching staff and a different group of guys and hopefully we can make this tourney fun.

On rising to the occasion in crunch time:
Everyone on this team has their level of confidence and everyone plays with that confidence. We trust ourselves and we trusted Norman to finish the and-one and that just energized us the whole game. Those little plays help the team.

On what he knows about Stephen F. Austin:
They're on a crazy winning streak and they just beat VCU, which was a great team. They're not going to back down from us just because we have UCLA on our chest. It's going to be a great game.
