VIDEO: Parker After Victory

Tony Parker talks about getting the win over Stephen F. Austin to advance to the Sweet 16 against Florida in Memphis...

Tony Parker:

On the defense:
It's big time for us to get the stops and wins. It's huge for us. When you watch those teams get beat, they don't get stops. They underestimate guys. You can't underestimate guys in March. If they're here, they're good. You have to come out strong. Teams get beat because they don't. That's the bottom line.

On their run since the WSU loss:
It's win or go home right now. You can't worry about the WSU loss. We knew what time it was. We came in to a tough Pac-12 tournament and did great. We played a good Tulsa and Stephen F. Austin team and knew what we had to do and we did that. We got on a roll in the Pac-12 tournament by playing defense and having fun.

On Norman Powell's behind the back layup:
I always mess with Norman. Norman is a really ugly dude but that was a nice move. A real nice move. I have to give him his props, that behind the back, that might have been out of character, but it was nice, real nice. He had to show out for the San Diego crowd.

On being in the Sweet 16:
It's great, going to Memphis, it's close to home. That was like my second home in high school. Shaq Goodwin went to Memphis. I miss Memphis.

On playing Florida:
It's a great matchup, Florida vs. UCLA. How much better can it get? We have to come out and play hard and have fun.

On any matchup issues:
I really don't see any thing, we just have to play hard. They have Patric Young in the post, SEC defensive player of the year. And the SEC player of the year, he's a great guard, he plays hard and he's heady. It will be a great matchup.

On if they feel they can play with anyone in the country:
We definitely can run with anyone. We have great guards, Jordan Adams, Kyle Anderson, Norman Powell, Zach Lavine. He's a walking money. We love to run and have fun.
