Five-star cornerback Kendall Sheffield is already one of the most heavily recruited prospects in the class of 2015, with offers from national powers across the country, including Alabama, Ohio State, and Oregon.
With the amount of interest he is getting, Sheffield is no where close to making a decision -- and doesn't have a timetable for even narrowing down his list.
"I have no timetable," Sheffield said. "I just want to take my visits, evaluate all the schools that offer me, and make the best decision based off all the available information."
He said that the ability to get a good education will play a significant role in his decision, as well as his relationship with the coaching staff and the opportunity to develop as a player.
Although he's hearing from most of the country, with hometown Texas recruiting him very hard, he said that UCLA has been on him hard as well, with the Bruins recruiting him significantly since offering him after his season this past year.
"Coach (Demetrice Martin) has been on me hard since December," Sheffield said. "He really wants me to get on campus at UCLA to meet the coaching staff and just get a feel for the whole thing. That'd be cool, because I'd be able to meet Coach Mora and everyone in person."
Though it might seem like a stretch for a player as touted and recruited as Sheffield to leave him to come to UCLA, he said he wouldn't be opposed to leaving home for school.
"I'm interested in going out West, if that's the best fit for me," Sheffield said. "I'm hearing from a lot of schools out there, including UCLA, USC, Cal, and Oregon, among others."
As of now, though, he doesn't have visit plans set up for a West Coast tour. He said that, if anything, he'd probably try to hit the West Coast schools sometime over the summer on an unofficial visit.
UCLA, and every school on his list, is recruiting Sheffield entirely as a cornerback.
