Bolu Olorunfunmi is one of the premier power backs in the West region and gave a commitment to UCLA earlier this month. Of course colleges rarely back off when a player commits these days and the running back picked up a couple of big offers in the last week.
"Stanford offered me last week and then Notre Dame came in today," Olorunfunmi said. "I'm really excited about that one, Notre Dame is a great school, with great tradition and I definitely plan to do some research on them.
"I talked with Coach LaFleur, I believe he's the QB Coach and he wants me to come up and take a visit. I would love to do that but I want to talk with the UCLA coaches first. My commitment to them is very solid and I have a great relationship with the coaches there. I don't want to do anything to break that trust with them so we'll see what happens."
Olorunfunmi has had a good spring and even though his game is better suited to the pads, he has looked comfortable running routes and catching the ball out of the backfield.
"I've tried to show I'm a complete back," Olorunfunmi said. "I'm working hard on my speed, agility and catching the ball. When I talked to Coach Mora when I first committed, he told me I was the kind of back that he wants because I can do everything.
"I know I can run hard between the tackles but I can run away from people too. I'm excited about UCLA and I have a very good relationship with Coach Polamalu, the RB Coach. He's a great guy and they made me a priority right away and I appreciated the love they showed me. It's a great fit, they need a big back and I think I can come in there and make an impact."
