Auburn (Calif.) Placer offensive lineman Johnny Capra (6-6, 285), is hitting the road this week to visit Oregon.

Holding four offers, Capra will be in Eugene on Tuesday to visit with the coaches and tour the campus and then Wednesday, he'll watch the Ducks practice.

"I've been talking to Coach (Steve) Greatwood and it's been going really well," said Capra. "I'd love for them to offer, that's the hope with the visit."

Later this spring, Capra will get down to Los Angeles to visit UCLA and USC.

"I'll be going down to UCLA and USC with my coach and we'll see if we can get out to Utah," said Capra.

Capra, who has offers from California, Hawaii, San Jose State and Washington State, is looking forward to visiting a former Placer teammate and close friend at UCLA, Eddie Vanderdoes.

"Eddie definitely has me interested in UCLA," said Capra. "I'm very close with he and his family and actually talked a bit with him on Skype on Sunday. Coach (Angus) McClure is recruiting me for UCLA too."

Capra is hoping the spring lands him more offers, with a number of schools planning to come see him workout during the eval period.

"We'll see here coming up in the spring what happens, but I'm excited to see if it opens the doors with more offers," said Capra. "We're on spring break this week so next week will be when they come by the school."

Capra said that Cal and Washington State are both recruiting him hard.

"Coach (Zach) Yenser, Coach (Sonny) Dykes, really all the coaches at Cal are talking with me," said Capra. "At Washington State, Coach (Clay) McGuire is recruiting me."

Capra will camp at the Oakland NFTC next month and said he'll determine his college camp plans later.

"At the end of the spring, we'll decide which college camps I'll go to," said Capra. "I want to see how it plays out."

Academically, Capra has a 3.8 GPA and scored a 1610 on the SAT.
