Dublanko Checks Out UCLA

The Aberdeen (Wash.) 2016 four-star linebacker, Joel Dublanko, returns to visit UCLA...

Aberdeen (Wash.) 2016 linebacker Joel Dublanko visited a trio of Pac-12 schools last week.

The four-star visited Arizona State, Arizona and UCLA.

"The experience at Arizona State was very similar to Arizona," said his father, Craig Dublanko. "We spent about seven hours on campus and they were awesome. It was clear they really loved Joel."

Their time with the coaches went well.

"He had good meetings with the coaches and loved the place," said his father. At the Arizona schools, it was our first time meeting them and the coaches were all talking about him."

Dublanko then visited UCLA, where he camped last summer, and the time was good in Westwood.

"They already know him so well because he and Coach (Jim) Mora have a great relationship and we have been there for camp and a game," said his father.

The visit allowed them to do several things they had hoped to.

"UCLA was really about two things, seeing how the coaching staff coaches since we had never been at a practice and meeting the new linebacker coach, (Mike) Tuiasasopo. Coach Mora spent lots of time with Joel as did Coach Tuiasasopo so Joel got to know Tui quite well," said his father.

Dublanko had already visited Cal and Stanford this spring as well as Washington and is finalizing camp plans for the summer.

In addition, last fall, he went to games at USC, Washington State and Oregon.

Akron, Mississippi State, Montana and Washington State have all offered Dublanko.
