VIDEO: Odighizuwa on Big Spring

Owamagbe Odighizuwa talks about his big performance in the spring game and how important it was to get some live action heading into the offseason...

Owamagbe Odighizuwa:

On being back in a live game situation:
It was awesome. I've been long awaiting for that. It was awesome for my teammates.

On five sacks in the game:
I was just happy to be out there and working on my moves. Showing everybody that I'm here to make an impact on this team and defense. I feel like I had a good day and achieved that goal.

On ramping up as the game went on:
I definitely felt like I got myself a second wind, kept on getting faster.

On where the game simulation felt on a scale of 1-10:
I would say about a 7.5. Nothing is going to be close to a game if you're not hitting. It was close but not too close.

On if he'll get five sacks in the season debut:
I hope I do. I hope I ramp it up another notch.

On the defense:
It was awesome. We were short some guys so they had to move around a bit.

On pass rush concerns:
That's just a goal. Obviously AB is a great player and had a great time here at UCLA and contributed in a big way. I take my pride in my play and with him leaving, I know I'm going to have to step it up in my pass rush and that's what I've worked on in the offseason. I want to make sure when I step on the field, I can have that impact.
