"These schools are going to help me get better as a player and as a person as well," Zimmerman told Scout.com Tuesday evening. "These schools can help me develop."
Zimmerman commented on all eight of his remaining schools:
Arizona: "They were number one for two months or something. It's a successful school. They are a great program and I like the coach and the coaches. They all seem to like me and have a plan for me."
Kansas: "They are obviously a good school for developing big men. I think they could help develop me into a really good big man down the line."
Kentucky: "They've played really well the past couple of years. I feel like I could help win them actually win a championship. They got far this year but didn't win."
Louisville: "I really like the coaches there. Coach [Rick] Pitino is real successful and I think he could help me develop a lot. I think I could get better and I think I could help him win as well."
UCLA: "They have a great history. They've put out a lot of NBA players. They have in the past. I think they could help me develop and take it to the next level."
UNLV: "That's the hometown school. They are stepping things up. They have a young team and I think could help them go farther."
North Carolina: "It's a really good school. They put a lot of players in the NBA and they seem to develop their players a lot."
Indiana: "Two years ago they had a few guys draft in the top 10. They do a really job with their guys and I feel like they could help me develop to get to the next level as well."
Zimmerman has taken unofficial visits to Arizona, UCLA and UNLV. The next step in his recruiting process is to set up official visit dates.
"Nothing's official yet but I'm going to take some official visits," Zimmerman said. "We are talking more about it."
At this point, Zimmerman doesn't have a timetable to make his college choice.
"I feel like I'm going to make my decision whenever the time is right," he said. "I don't want to rush anything. I don't want to set a date for myself because I don't want to feel like I have to commit then. I just want to make sure it's the right decision and I feel comfortable."
