UCLA Watching Jefferson

The Bruins are taking a close look at the Henderson (Nev.) Liberty defensive end, Noah Jefferson...

Henderson (Nev.) Liberty defensive end Noah Jefferson (6-6, 282), was one of the more impressive players we saw at the Passing Down 7v7.

Normally a defensive lineman, Jefferson played tight end in the event and looked good doing it.

Still, schools see him on the defensive line and last week, he got his first offer.

"San Diego State offered me last week," said Jefferson. "Coach (Jeff) Horton offered. They like me as a defensive tackle."

A number of other schools are interested in the three-star.

"I'm hearing a lot from USC, Arizona State, Washington, California and UCLA," said Jefferson. "I'm getting recruited mostly as a defensive lineman in general."

Jefferson said that he's open to any position on the defensive line but has his preferences.

"I can play 3-tech or 4-tech, be a defensive end in a 4-3," said Jefferson. "But really I just want to play on the defensive line."

Last week, Wisconsin and Utah State stopped by to see him.

Arizona and Arizona State are expected this week and UCLA and USC are scheduled to come by next week.

Jefferson plans to camp at the Oakland NFTC and the UCLA Camp in June.
