St. Brown Talks UCLA Offer

2015 four-star Anaheim (Calif.) Servite wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown was offered by UCLA last week, which gives him offers from both of the local schools...

In March, 2015 Anaheim (Calif.) Servite receiver Equanimeous St. Brown told Scout he had five favorite schools, including Stanford, USC. Notre Dame, Northwestern and Tennessee.

But now two months later, St. Brown tells Scout he's wiped away his favorites as new offers have come in and he is approaching his recruitment differently.

"At first, I had a top five but not anymore," St. Brown explained. "I'm trying to consider all the schools who offered me with a few late offers coming in, so I definitely have some more schools to consider."

One of St. Brown's latest offers includes UCLA. "It meant a lot, one of the local schools, a big college and football team. It's a big one."

Meanwhile across town at USC, receivers coach Tee Martin wasted no time jumping in on the recruitment of St. Brown. The Scout-four star and No. 8 rated receiver nationally is a top target on the Trojans 2015 board.

"They were one of my first big offers," St. Brown said. "They came and sought me out early.

"I like that Tee Martin really likes me and can put me in the offense early to get started."

Although the local choices are undoubtedly high on St. Brown's list, he tells Scout he is open to any program nationally. He's not necessarily sold on the idea of having to stay close to home for college football since living part of his childhood abroad.

"It doesn't matter [if I stay local]," he explained. "I've lived out in Paris and Germany, so it doesn't matter where I go, just that it's a good fit for me."

St. Brown, who has visited USC, UCLA and Stanford, says he will visit Notre Dame, Illinois, and Northwestern.
