Tell Talks Recent Offers, UCLA Spring Game

2015 four-star Encino (Calif.) Crespi safety Marvell Tell was recently offered by Oregon and Texas A&M, but he still speaks highly of both UCLA and USC...

Marvell Tell is a physical safety with range and ball skills. He has had a strong spring on the 7v7 circuit before shutting things down recently to rest a lower body injury.

On the recruiting front, Tell picked up offers from Oregon and Texas A&M over the last two days.

"Those are two big offers and I'm very excited about both," Tell said. "My parents and I are trying to find a good time to visit Oregon this summer and they're definitely high on my list.

"I don't know as much about Texas A&M but I do know they're a very strong program and I would love to visit there if I have a chance as well. If not, I could always do an official as I plan to take all my visits before deciding."

Tell has already visited UCLA and USC multiple times and talks highly about both local schools.

"I went to the USC spring game a few weeks ago and that was actually my first time visiting for me," Tell said. "I had a good time talking with the coaches and the other recruits at the game.

"I spent some quality time with Coach Sark, Heyward and Tui (Tuiasosopo) and I really like those guys a lot. I didn't have a chance to really tour the campus much but I'll be back to do that another time."

Tell also attended the Bruins spring game following an unofficial visit a few weeks earlier.

"The UCLA Spring Game was pretty intense, they treated it like a real game and were going all out," Tell said. "The team looked really good and I like how much energy and excitement the players and coaches were playing with.

"I took a visit to the campus earlier and that was great too. I watched a practice, then toured the campus and met with some academic people. I have a good relationship with Coach Mora and Martin and I'm going to try and get up to campus as much as I can."

Tell said he has no plans to make an early decision and in fact, will wait until Signing Day before he commits anywhere.
