Hawkins Keeps Eye on UCLA

2015 four-star Buena Park (Calif.) wide receiver Jaylinn Hawkins knows he'll take three official visits to Northwestern, Arizona State, and California, but is waiting on a few schools to figure out the other two visits...

Jaylinn Hawkins is a talented receiver who has had a very good spring. He has very good hands, above average down field speed and good quickness getting in and out his breaks. He's one of the most polished receivers in the region and a quality defensive back as well with the ability to play on either side of the ball in college.

On the recruiting front, Hawkins landed a pair of new offers last week and said he knows three schools that he'll officially visit.

"Colorado State and Boise State both offered," Hawkins said. "I'm excited about both, every offer is big for me. Right now, I'm open to all the schools recruiting me and still trying to sort out who I like and where I'll visit this summer.

"I know I want to take all five of my official visits and three of them will be to Northwestern, Arizona State and California. I don't know about the last two yet, I'm still thinking about those two but I have plenty of time."

Hawkins said he's hopeful a few more offers could come in shortly.

"UCLA is still interested and I'm high on their board," Hawkins said. "The coaches keep telling me to be patient and an offer could come down the road. Oregon has picked up their interest in me too and I have a lot of interest in them as well.

"Utah is another school I'm interested and they were one of the first schools to offer me. It's going to be a really hard decision for me but I know I'm blessed to have all these options and I thank God for that."
