"I am planning to visit sometime in July: UCLA, Oregon, Ole Miss and Notre Dame," he explained. "I have interest in some of the schools. And I have a good relationship with each of their staff."
Notre Dame, Florida, Clemson, Florida State, Maryland, Miami, UCLA, Oregon and UNC are just come of the programs that have extended an offer to McCloud.
The 5-foot-10, 172-pound running back prospect is still getting more coaches coming by his high school. Virginia coaches just visited and are trying to get involved.
"They came up to the school and they talked to the coach for a while," he said. While UVa is a new program for the speedster, that doesn't mean the Cavaliers are out of contention. "I am going to give them a chance and look into their program right now."
McCloud also said he'd like to visit Virginia, too, at one point.
When he makes these visits, McCloud is trying to find a place he can belong.
"I am (looking at) the experience, and just a place that feels like home to me."
The elite running back has a timeline in mind, however he will not rush his decision in order to make it work.
"If I am not committed by the first day of my senior year, I at least want to have a top five."
McCloud is a three-star prospect, who ran for 28 touchdowns in his junior season, and collected over 2,400 all-purpose yards.
