2015 four-star running back Jaason Lewis decommitted from UCLA last night, just under four months after he committed to the Bruins.

"I have decommitted from UCLA," the 6-foot-4, 241-pound Lewis. "It was a family decision to decommit, but they're still my No. 1 school."

Lewis, out of Virginia Beach (Virg.) Ocean Lakes, just visited Westwood in April for spring practice, and during the visit, he spent time with committed quarterback Josh Rosen and committed running back Bolu Olorunfunmi. Lewis was also supposed to come in, at least initially, as a running back at UCLA.

Lewis, with his size and athleticism, was thought to have a considerable amount of versatility, and could have projected as a 3-4 outside linebacker in UCLA's defense, in addition to several roles on offense.

As for his plans now, Lewis said he's wide open, even though the Bruins ostensibly still lead.

"I'm considering everyone right now," he said. "I'm not sure about upcoming visits, but I think I'm going to visit UCF, Florida and Miami. I also want to visit Georgia and LSU."

Georgia, Louisville and LSU were his most recent offers, and in general, his recruitment has heated up considerably since he committed to UCLA in February.

Lewis is currently rated the No. 31 running back in the 2015 class. He plays H-back, running back, receiver, and tight end for his high school team.
