Bellevue (Wash.) 2016 quarterback Justus Rogers (6-1.5, 210) is ready to take the reins of the Wolverines offense this fall.
Running their vaunted Wing-T, Rogers knows that passes will be at a premium, so he's made it a point to get out to camps this spring to throw as much as he can, including at the Oakland Elite 11 and NFTC.
"The camps were a great experience, learning from top coaches and going against top competition," said Rogers. "Just getting a chance to size yourself up against the competition, now I can take it back to Washington with me and learn from it and become a better quarterback."
Rogers already has an offer, from Washington State, which came as an athlete.
"They said they're open to me playing quarterback and recruiting me as a quarterback, but they first offered me as an athlete so that was exciting just to get that first offer," said Rogers.
Several other schools came through this spring to check him out.
Rogers knows he's got some time to attract more attention and put together some film and he's eager to go through the process.
"I just want to get ready for our season and the big shoes and win another state championship," said Rogers. "We're going to throw it around a little more this year and that will be fun."
